Cookies Galore


Cookies or Biscuits whichever name it is called is an undeniably satisfying treat. Be it dunked in milk, crushed to form a tart or just enjoyed as a snack. Cookies have been a part since childhood for most people.

This book has a wonderful and diverse collection of cookies. The book is divided into six chapters that are very merry christmas, cookies exchange party, warm holiday spice, around the world, holiday confections, and decorated delight.  I am sure I will be trying out most of the recipes if not all. But my first few are going to be thumbprint cookies with spicy plum jam, Danish butter wreath, alfajores, doily -rolled gingersnap and fig and cardamom rugelach. There are final product image for the cookies giving the reader an idea of how the final products looks.

Last Stop In Brooklyn – Review

I have an interest in period mystery novels and this one by Lawrence H Levy.   The author does not disappoint the readers. This is the third book in the A Mary Handley Mystery series. This is my first book in this series. It is a well-researched book, which transports us to the time period. I have a read many mysteries and this one was very interesting. Trying to write a review without giving away much is hard. The story has detective Mary Handley solving the case similar to Jack the ripper case a reason to interest many. The books can be purchased from Amazon . I recommend this book to mystery lovers just for the sheer joy of intrigue. Excellent treat by Women Chef!

This book is a compilation of lots of wonderful recipes from famous women chefs. The pink color of the book is oddly attractive and inviting. It is wonderful to read snippets of stories and incidents from people’s life and when there is a special recipe that accompanies it is even more special. I am eager to try out the Nonna Garzia’s Pasta E Piselli, Broken Pie Crust cobbler with berries and persimmon loaf cake.
