Vegan Southern Food…Mind Blowing

I have always loved sweet potato. This book has got vegan southern style recipe with the star sweet potato along with other fresh produce. Do not be alarmed that every thing is sweet potato. It has a lot of recipes using other fresh produce.

The author Jenne Claiborne runs a very successful You Tube channel with the same name. 

I cannot wait to try out Vegan cream cheese pound cake, Skillet corn bread, Jackfruit Jambalaya, Lentil Loaf, sweet potato yeast doughnuts. The first one I am going to try out is smoky black-eyed pea cakes, I always have trouble coming up with recipes made with black eyed peas.

Excellent treat by Women Chef!

This book is a compilation of lots of wonderful recipes from famous women chefs. The pink color of the book is oddly attractive and inviting. It is wonderful to read snippets of stories and incidents from people’s life and when there is a special recipe that accompanies it is even more special. I am eager to try out the Nonna Garzia’s Pasta E Piselli, Broken Pie Crust cobbler with berries and persimmon loaf cake. You can buy this book from Amazon .  I highly recommend this awesome compilation of recipes put together by authors Kerry Diamond and Claudia Wu.
