Serene!

Among all the hustle, bustle and turmoil in life this book will transport us to a serene atmosphere. For lack of better term to describe this cookbook I am going to say it is a very warm book.   Both the pictures and recipes are rustic and soul satisfying. The author Marte Marie Forberg, was born and raised on an island off the coast of Norway. After her education she traveled the world as a photographer. On one such travels she fell in love with the English countryside. She now resides in her cottage in the English countryside two hours from London with her English pointer Mr.Whiskey. Her resourceful mom has nurtured her love for cooking and gardening. She runs a popular blog in the name the cottage kitchen.   The book has been divided into four seasons and afternoon tea and recipes to try out in each season. I am sure I am going to try out all the breads and the clotted cream. This book is a keeper. You will never regret it. The book can be purchased from Amazon . Ne

Excellent treat by Women Chef!

This book is a compilation of lots of wonderful recipes from famous women chefs. The pink color of the book is oddly attractive and inviting. It is wonderful to read snippets of stories and incidents from people’s life and when there is a special recipe that accompanies it is even more special. I am eager to try out the Nonna Garzia’s Pasta E Piselli, Broken Pie Crust cobbler with berries and persimmon loaf cake. You can buy this book from Amazon .  I highly recommend this awesome compilation of recipes put together by authors Kerry Diamond and Claudia Wu. The book was provided to me by “blogging for books” in exchange for my above honest opinion.
