Colored pencil shading at its best!



For a very long time I had been trying to learn colored pencil shading. This is a wonderful book. Since I am new to this form of art it think I should use a beginners level book before applying the techniques from this book. The book has many tips and technique, which will be more useful for advanced artist than me.

The author Alyona Nickelsen is an award-winning artist. She is a signature member of the colored pencil society of America, the International guild of Realism, and the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club. Her work has been featured in many national and international exhibitions and also in many prestigious art magazines.

The book is a lovely book to look at. It more for the advanced artist than a beginner like me.

Last Stop In Brooklyn – Review

I have an interest in period mystery novels and this one by Lawrence H Levy.   The author does not disappoint the readers. This is the third book in the A Mary Handley Mystery series. This is my first book in this series. It is a well-researched book, which transports us to the time period. I have a read many mysteries and this one was very interesting. Trying to write a review without giving away much is hard. The story has detective Mary Handley solving the case similar to Jack the ripper case a reason to interest many. The books can be purchased from Amazon . I recommend this book to mystery lovers just for the sheer joy of intrigue. Excellent treat by Women Chef!

This book is a compilation of lots of wonderful recipes from famous women chefs. The pink color of the book is oddly attractive and inviting. It is wonderful to read snippets of stories and incidents from people’s life and when there is a special recipe that accompanies it is even more special. I am eager to try out the Nonna Garzia’s Pasta E Piselli, Broken Pie Crust cobbler with berries and persimmon loaf cake.
